THE ENGLISH DEMOCRATS

Dear friend,
It may be strange for a party that is now ten years old, but the English Democrats have not, until now, had an opportunity to fight a parliamentary by-election, within an area of England, where we had activists already "on the ground".

However, the forthcoming Rotherham by-election is a great opportunity for the English Democrats.
Rotherham is geographically close to our successful Mayoralty in Doncaster.
In the recent South Yorkshire Police Commissioner elections, our candidate finished second on first preference votes with the following result (specifically in Rotherham):

Labour: 16,374 - 51.14%
English Democrats: 5,034 - 15.72%
UKIP: 4,737 - 14.8%
Consevatives: 4,660 - 14.56%
Liberal Democrats: 1,211 - 3.78%

This by-election in Rotherham on Thursday 29 November 2012 is the best opportunity for the English Democrats to break through in a parliamentary by-election to date.

I therefore ask for all able English patriots to travel from all corners of the country to arrive at Rotherham on Saturday 24th November 2012 at 10am ready for leafleting and door knocking.
