Revival in Rural China Increases Demand for Bibles
Barry Werner with bibles for China reports there are 35,000 new
converts in China per day. On a recent trip, Werner and his team were to
verify the Bibles they sent were indeed reaching the people of China.
They also had an opportunity to speak to several congregations.
Unlike most trips, this time, a government official accompanied the team
everywhere they went. Upon hearing what the team members had to say,
two of the four officials were interested in learning more about the Gospel. There is great revival burning in rural China with many healings feeding the flames.
Pray for continued favor with government officials concerning Bible distribution and sharing the Gospel.
Pray that the flames of revival continue to burn among the people even after missionaries have left the area.
Pray for there to be more than enough Bibles to cover the hunger of those living in rural areas of China.

Christian Girl Acquitted of Blasphemy in Pakistan
Rimsha Masih, a 14-year-old Pakistani girl accused of blasphemy,
was acquitted on November 20, but the danger for Rimsha and her family
is not over. Even though she has been acquitted, Pakistan’s oppressive
blasphemy laws allow for radicals to persecute, torture, and kill
anyone accused of blasphemy, even after the accused is found innocent.
Rimsha and her family must relocate, but even then they will not be
guaranteed safety, as those who falsely accused her are even more
enraged by the news of her acquittal.
Pray that religious freedom will come to Pakistan.
Pray for those
who are persecuted, threatened, and tortured in Pakistan will stand firm
in their faith in Christ and not compromise.
Pray for the safety of Rimsha and her family as they seek refuge.

Small Win for Churches and Chapels in Russia
The Duma, the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, ruled
this month that churches may once again meet in buildings once seized by
the Soviets. Among these buildings are chapels and public universities.
Christian congregations are rejoicing for the opportunity to meet in
the places they once did. However, they do continue to face opposition
from both atheists and those of other religious beliefs. Those who
oppose the new measure say that all religion and state facilities and
functions must remain separate.
Pray for the continued growth of religious freedom throughout Russia.
Pray that Christians in Russia will have increasing favor with the governing authorities.
Pray that the Gospel be spread throughout the entire nation of Russia.
