Attorney General Holder to keynote Islamists annual dinner tonight

SAN FRANCISCO — Bay Area Muslims caught between a national concern that they cooperate with the government to root out terrorists and their own concerns about privacy and loss of freedom will hear from the nation’s top law enforcer Friday evening.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will talk at an annual dinner banquet hosted by Muslim Advocates, a San Francisco-based organization that has fought the Department of Justice on some issues and praised it for others.

The visit marks the first time any U.S. attorney general has addressed an event hosted by a national Muslim group, and it could not come at a more important time because of anti-Muslim sentiment, said Farhana Khera, executive director of Muslim Advocates.

This visit will not be the first time any U.S. attorney general has addressed Muslims or even this group, as noted on their own website that includes a photo of Holder and Khera.

In fact, Holder has been meeting with Muslims seemingly full-time since being in office and made Muslims one of DOJ’s top priorities. He has pandered to Muslims almost exclusively, including media-ignored visits to mosques and meeting with another insidious group, the ADC, as well as pandering to the ADL.

Moreover, as Atlas Shrugs blogged a few days ago (check the video there), Holder is not simply speaking to Muslims as the media portrays it, he is the invited guest speaker at their annual event.

So who are the Muslim Advocates? Some background:

…Muslim Advocates, the sister organization to the National Association of Muslim Lawyers (NAML). NAML, which aims to install Islamic elements into the American legal system, has close ties to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). NAML petitioned the U.S. Attorney General to remove both CAIR and ISNA from the list of co-conspirators named in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism case that went to trial in 2007.

On their website, Muslim Advocates has a “Community Alert” advising Muslims not to talk to the FBI:

The FBI is contacting Pakistani, South-Asian and other Muslim Americans to solicit information and advice about addressing violent extremism.

Muslim Advocates strongly urges individuals not to speak with law enforcement officials without the presence or advice of an attorney.

Further, the group actually teaches Muslims how to avoid drawing the attention of the FBI working with the IRS and BBB to teach Muslims how to fulfill Islamic charitable funding ‘without drawing attention of the FBI’. Great advice for those Muslims dedicated to funding jihad, right?
