The Rise Of Buddhist Extremism In Sri Lanka

2/26/2014 Sri Lanka (Ians Live)

Preservation is the stated objective of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS), an extremist Buddhist organization created in July 2012 by monks. The Buddhist majority in Sri Lanka oppose these acts by peacefully marching and denouncing the hatred.

  • Pray for peace for the country of Sri Lanka
  • Pray for all Christians in the country
  • Pray the government will rise above all intolerances

Armed Mob Blocks Christians In Indonesia From Church Construction

2/21/2014 Indonesia(Asia News)

Hundreds of armed men, led by local Muslim leaders, forcibly occupied the land owned by the Indonesian Christian community Huria Kristen Batak Protestant (HKBP). The 'legal' raid was motivated by HKBP's attempt to build a place of worship since 2011. With unpredictable and complicated laws hindering all Christian sects, this Christian community will have to continue through the grueling process.

  • Pray for the successful building of the community church and all struggles to overcome this feat
  • Pray Indonesia will protect the rights of the Christian people
  • Pray for all Christians in Indonesia

Teachers Detained In China

2/20/2014 China (China Aid)

Cheng Jie and Mo Xiliu were placed under criminal detention and charged with "engaging in illegal business operation". These detentions appear to be related to the Christian teaching materials used in the school. "The Guangxi authorities are obviously trying to use the business-related, trumped up charges in order to cover up its religious persecution," Bob Fu, ChinaAid founder and president, said.

  • Pray the charges will be dropped and the release of these Christian women
  • Pray for all those religiously detained and persecuted
  • Pray for the peace and equality of Christians in China
