America's New Government-Imposed Religion
2/8/2013 United States (WT)
There has been a rise in religious oppression in America. Catholic
charities are forced to close their doors when they refuse to recognize
same-sex marriage as equal to the God-ordained marriage between a man
and a woman. Pharmacists are forced to quit their jobs when their
religious beliefs prevent them from killing an unborn child.
Pray that America will maintain its freedom.
Pray that Christians in America will continue to fight for religious freedom.
Pray For a revival in America that would rival those in the world of the persecuted Church.

House Raided, Women Abused by Mob in Pakistan

Pakistan on Feb.9, said a statement released by the Legal Evangelical
Association Development (LEAD), an advocacy group in Pakistan. “It was

weeks…On Jan. 25, a 15-year-old Christian girl, Fouzia Bibi, was raped

Two More Churches Hit in Indonesian Firebomb Attacks
Four churches on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi have now been
hit by early morning Molotov cocktail attacks in the last week. Police
say the attacks, which left no one injured, but caused property damage
to the church buildings, are meant to ignite tensions between Christians
and Islamic groups on the islands. Between 1999 and 2003, a conflict
between Christians and Muslims, which began on Sulawesi left thousands
of Christians dead or homeless.
Pray for the safety of Indonesian Christians.
Pray that appropriate legal action will be taken against the perpetrators of this horrible violence.
Pray that the Gospel will be spread throughout Indonesia, including all its islands.

Philippine Peace Deal Makes Christians Vulnerable to Persecution
A peace deal between the Philippine national government and Islamic
secessionist rebels over the island of Mindanao could signal the end of
a 40-year conflict, but it might be at the cost of religious freedom
and more persecution for Christians. Although the Philippines is a
predominantly Christian country, several of its southern provinces are
mainly Muslim, and Christians in the area have suffered constant
persecution at the hands of extremist Muslim groups, who have been
fighting a violent war for a separate Islamic state in the
Muslim-dominated island of Mindanao.
Pray Muslims in the Philippines will not abuse the terms of the peace deal.
Pray for the safety and peace of the Philippine Christians in Mindanao.
Pray for religious freedom of everyone in the Philippines.

Is a Ceasefire with Boko Haram Possible?
Boko Haram has been attacking churches and public places in Nigeria
for three years. The group has now called a truce. In exchange, they
want their arrested members released and one of their mosques rebuilt.
Their three years of attacks on churches during worship service (in an
effort to maximize death and loss) have them being blamed for killing
over 3,000 people. Nigerian Christians are hopeful the government will
be able to pull off the peace deal with the militant group.
Pray the ceasefire will be effective and Nigeria's Christians will be safe.
Pray the Gospel will spread throughout Nigeria.
Pray that if
Boko Haram fails to abide by the terms of the peace agreement, should
one be reached, that the government will continue to hold them legally
accountable for their crimes.
