Christians in India to Gain Greater Religious Freedom

Unlike the United States, religious freedom in India and the right to express one’s faith is not guaranteed. However, a recent court decision which would allow people to convert to Christianity is cause for celebration. Religious freedom seems to be on the rise in India.


Praise God that officials in India have seen the persecution of Christians and are now offering some form of protection.
Pray that as the court decision is appealed that it will not be overturned.
Pray for the Christians in India who may suffer further persecution due to the unpopular decision by the court.
Pakistan Militants Kill Three Christians Amid Spreading Violence

It seems as if the violence towards Christians has increased dramatically within the last few weeks. This story details the murders of three Christians by militants in Pakistan. Christians have been targeted due to the global coverage of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws.
Pray for God’s comfort and peace to sweep over the families and friends of the three victims.
Pray for those who carried out the murder, that God would melt their hearts and that they would see the error of their ways.
Pray for the political officials in Pakistan; that they would change their blasphemy laws so that Christians can worship freely in Pakistan.
Even After Winning Asylum in US, Iranian Christian Convert Lives in fear

After the much anticipated release of Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, another Iranian Christian has expressed fear of persecution. Although this person has won asylum in the U.S., there is still fear for their life. The persecution of Christians in Iran seems to be increasing by the day.
Pray for comfort for this Iranian Christian, now that he has won asylum in the U.S.
Pray for the Iranian government, that protection would be given to Christians within the country.

Pray for those who persecute Christians in Iran, that they would not see Christians as the enemy, but as human beings.
Baptist Family Targeted in Recent Raids in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan claims to be a secular state. Because of this claim, the government constantly raids homes and places of worship of Christians. Lately the raids have gotten to the point where nothing is left except “one spoon, one mug and one mattress for each.” These families have everything taken away from them because of their faith.
Pray for these families as they are left with almost nothing and expected to survive.
Pray for those who are conducting these raids, that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their wrongdoing.
Pray for the Uzbekistan government, that they would provide protection for all religious people and that they would see the error of their policy of being a secular state.
Christians Fear Anti-Islam Film Backlash

Ever since Muslims became aware of a film that mocked their religion, there has been numerous violent attacks. Many of the attacks have gained international attention and Christians are concerned about their brothers and sisters. The Muslims have said that they are going to teach a lesson to the Christians.
Pray for the victims of attacks by Muslims who are upset at this film.
Pray that some type of policy would be formed that would bring an end to this violence.
Pray for Christians who are in fear for their lives as a result of this film.
Two Christians Killed, Three Injured, in Pakistan

Pakistan is one of the most dangerous places on the planet for Christians. Not only due to the blasphemy have laws that are in place, but also because Christians are seen as the enemy. In this article two Christians are killed because of their faith.
Pray for the families of the victims as they mourn the loss of their loved ones.
Pray for those who carried out this crime. That the authorities would apprehend them and they would be brought to justice.
Pray for the Christians currently in Pakistan, as they fear for their lives because of their Christian faith.
New Report Finds Rising Tide of Religious Restrictions Around the World

A new report shows that 75 percent of the world’s population faces some kind of hostility because of their faith. This report is not limited to Christians, but all people. This means that a majority of the world holds some kind of resentment against other people because of their religious beliefs.
Pray for those who you know are being persecuted for their faith.
Pray for a spirit of unity among Christians as we continue to face persecution.
Pray for legislation that exists that endorses or favors religious persecution.
Providing assistance, advocacy and awareness to persecuted Christians with integrity towards God and our donors.
