LIBEREZ LES ORQUES !

SeaWorld has turned a blind eye to the unsafe conditions for both humans and animals despite numerous tragedies—including the recent deaths of a mother and baby orca and the death of yet another young person who was seized, slammed against the tank walls, and held down to drown by a frustrated orca. Please take a moment to write to Blackstone—the company that owns SeaWorld—and ask that it immediately devise a plan to release these captive animals into coastal sanctuaries.
The intelligent, social ocean-dwelling animals kept in the pitifully small tanks at SeaWorld are denied everything that is natural and important to them. In aquariums, dolphins and other sea animals routinely die from stress and other captivity-related causes, and SeaWorld has an abysmal record. The only thing that people learn from visiting a SeaWorld theme park is what human domination looks like and how miserable life can be for the animals confined there.
Take action now, while the summer tourist season is just beginning, by signing the petition below.

Please Release SeaWorld's Animals Into Sanctuaries
Blackstone President and Chief Operating Officer Hamilton James
Dear Mr. James,
I am shocked that SeaWorld continues to exploit marine animals for entertainment despite the many tragedies that have occurred at the park, including the horrifying incident in which a trainer was killed by an orca and the deaths of numerous captive marine mammals. These events did not have to happen, and I appeal to you to take strong action now so that similar tragedies never occur again.

The intelligent, social ocean-dwelling animals kept in the pitifully small tanks at SeaWorld are denied everything that is natural and important to them. Please make the humane decision to start moving the captive orcas and other marine mammals to transitional coastal sanctuaries and replace them with state-of-the-art virtual-reality and animatronic exhibits that wow both children and adults.

Sincerely,Jean-Pierre Pagès-Schweitzer
