ENGLISH DEFENSE LEAGUE

The English Defence League (EDL) is a human rights organisation concerned about how non-Muslims are being marginalised as sharia norms become increasingly embedded in our society.

The existing legal framework is adjusted to incorporate sharia norms, just as the emergence of real and separate sharia institutions are being encouraged to emerge outside the traditional cultural milieu of Western societies. Under constant agitation by Islamic radicals, cherished values like as freedom of expression, equality before the law, and the rights of women are being whittled down into meaningless husks.

We have seen in the EDL the constant battle to marginalise and expel those who seek to use it as a platform for far right views. However, the media simultaneously asserts that it tolerates Nazis while at the same time labelling the real efforts to combat Nazism as infighting. It seems that the poor old mainstream media does not know where to put itself when it comes to the EDL but that confusion might actually be the result of a deliberate agenda to demonise the EDL and its supporters.

When it comes down to it the real Nazis (not the pretend Nazis invented by the media) are putting our civilisation in great peril. Their ideology is both unsellable to the public as well as being fundamentally wrong. The ‘far right’ ‘establishment’ has had plenty of opportunity to engage with the public and put forward its position. It has failed in its efforts to influence the debate and rightfully so. Despite this failure it still attempts to infiltrate new and progressive organisations like the EDL which fundamentally disagree with their approach to politics and society.

In terms of results the real far right has produced nothing but failure. Its weak arguments and incompetent political activities has exacerbated the situation and prevented meaningful defence of our country, our culture, and our civilisation. It has had plenty of time and has been around for many decades yet we still have mass immigration, and we still see our laws subverted by sharia norms. Could it be that the real far right finds it impossible to formulate arguments that convince the public because it is more interested in its own internal ideology than it is in defending the country?

When it comes down to it the British people are fundamentally a good people, an open minded people, and a fair people. They do not want to be governed by Nazi ideology, whatever form it takes, and will never accept it. The far right, like the far left, and the Islamists should realise that there is no place for such extremism in our society. The reason that multiculturalism is failing is because the ideology of Islam, which is effectively an uncompromising monoculture, is undermining it from within. Islam does not embrace multicultural values and never will. Islam seeks to make the world Islamic and makes no compromise in this goal.

The far right has been active for a long-time, yet has achieved nothing of value. It has transformed patriots into pariahs and nationalism into a dirty word. It has so utterly failed that it can be regarded as having no redeeming qualities.

Nationalism, in its true form, has been a force that has brought people together to create truly cohesive societies.

The far right has used this in a way to cultivate the opposite: division and weakness, rather than unity and strength. The great nation states of the world were once fragmented entities speaking a multitude of widely different dialects with no true unity.

They were woven together only by the glue of dynastic interest. Nationalism created truly united states and can and should do so again.
