Petition Seeking Freedom for a Bhutanese Christian Imprisoned for Showing a Christian Film

On May 21, Prem Singh Gurung was arrested in Bhutan for showing a film about Jesus Christ. On October 6, the officials of Bhutan sentenced him to three years in prison for the 'crime' of showing the film without authorization. They also accused him of promoting civil unrest by showing the film. The authorities of Bhutan defended their action when ICC asked for the release of Gurung. We are still urging the Bhutan officials to release Gurung because his imprisonment is a serious violation of religious freedom.
