Iran has the largest Jewish population in the Middle East next to Israel.
Like the country's other religious minorities, the Jewish people are free to practice their faith and have one reserved seat in the Iranian Parliament (Majlis).
Members of the Jewish group were representatives of the Jews who had gathered in front of the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Monday to welcome the presence of the Iranian President in the US.
The President appreciated efforts made by the Jewish group to uncover the real face of those who were trying to damage the religion for their own benefit through deceitful measures.
President Ahmadinejad called on all faith seekers across the globe to be united in order to build a world full of peace and tranquility.
During the meeting the representatives of the anti-Zionism Jewish groups appreciated the Iranian President’s support and presented him a book.
