Egyptian Churches Give Up on Helping to Create New Constitution
11/26/2012 Egypt (Christianity Today)

Debate over the proposed constitution in Egypt has been going on for the last few months. Throughout this time it was unclear whether or not the Christians would be given rights the same as Muslims or if Christians would be stripped of all their rights. After conferring with each other, the three main Christian churches in Egypt have withdrawn their positions to form the new constitution.

Pray for the safety of Christians, as the withdrawal of Christians from the formation of the new constitution will cause outrage and perhaps violence towards Christians.

Pray for the Egyptian government. That they will take heed of the fact that Christians do not want to form a constitution where they will have no rights.

Pray for the Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. That God would reveal to him the potential violence that may come towards Christians if he continues down the path he has chosen.

Battle Over Public Prayer
in U.S. Heating Up
11/26/2012 United States (Charisma News)

Hearing about legislation that results in the persecution of Christians overseas is nothing new. However, legislation is starting to form which will make it illegal to be able to pray before town hall meetings in the United States. There has been an assault on town hall meetings which allow for prayer before the beginning of meetings. If legislation which makes this action illegal is established, a path could be opened for much harsher legislation to also be established.

Pray for the atheist groups that are behind this movement. That God would somehow work in their lives so they could realize the wrong they are doing.

Pray for those judges which will have to review these cases. That they will stand up for the right to have prayer before town hall meetings.

Pray that Christians will let their voice be heard and that people will understand the importance of prayer in town hall meetings.

It is not uncommon for Christians to be treated as second-class citizens in countries where persecution is almost a daily occurrence. However, it is extremely unique for Christians to be treated as second-class citizens by their own brothers and sisters. This is happening in India where Christian “untouchables”those who rank low on the caste system and convert from Hindu to Christianityare being persecuted by Christians and Hindus alike.

Pray for these Christians who are being persecuted. That they will continue to hold strong to their faith.

Pray for those Christians who are persecuting their own brothers and sisters. Pray that God would reveal to them the harm they are doing by persecuting their fellow Christians.

Pray that the Indian government would offer some type of protection for these Christians.

Pray for the Christians in Laos, that they will remain strong in their faith.

Pray for the Lao government, that some Christian influence would infiltrate the government and protections would be given to Christians.

Pray for the organizations that are currently in Laos, trying to give aid to these persecuted Christians.

Calls Intensify to Designate Nigeria's Boko Haram as Terrorist Group
11/28/2012 Nigeria (International Christian Concern)

Article Image
For the past three years, numerous organizations have called upon the United States State Department to label Boko Haram as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). However, every request has been shut down. However, no one can refute the almost 3,000 deaths that have occurred since Boko Haram’s rampage began in 2009 or that 700 of those deaths have been Christians. When will the State Department take a stand?

Pray for the safety of Christians in Nigeria, as Boko Haram’s violent rampage continues.

Pray that the U.S. State Department will label Boko Haram as an FTO and that appropriate action will take place.

Pray that news of Boko Haram’s activities increase so that people all over the world may realize the serious threat that Boko Haram is to Nigeria.
