As we’ve noted in years past, this is one of the largest gathering of stealth jihadists in the world. Many of the same speakers (full list) as last year, from last year’s post: Islamist conference hijacks 10 Commandments on Christmas:
Jamal Badawi:
Badawi was a Board of Directors member of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States and a founding incorporator of the Muslim American Society.
In 2004 Badawi issued a fatwa for Islamonline, outlining six different conditions in which a wife may properly be beaten according to his understanding of “Islamic teaching,” because, he stated, “there are cases … in which a wife persists in bad habits.”
Badawi played a part in a November 2004 fatwa by the International Union of Muslim Scholars decreeing that it was a religious “duty” for all able-bodied Muslims inside and outside Iraq to wage jihad against the American military.
In an IslamOnline Internet forum in June 2006, Badawi justified Muslim suicide bombings as a legitimate tactic of jihad. (Discover the Networks and Militant Islam Monitor)
Zaid Shakir:
“Islam doesn’t permit us to hijack airplanes filled with civilian people,” Shakir once told a Muslim audience. However, “If you hijack an airplane filled with the 82nd Airborne, that’s something else.”
The 82nd Airborne Division’s elite paratroopers fly out of Fort Bragg, N.C., which is part of North Carolina state Sen. Larry Shaw’s district. Shaw is CAIR’s new chairman. (WND)
And of course the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Tariq Ramadan, who was banned from entering the U.S. until the terror-friendly Obama administration almost immediately granted him a visa.
