Man Arrested in Oklahoma Accused of Plotting to Bomb Dozens of Churches
Too often, American Christians identify persecution as something
that happens overseas, such as bombings, massacres, and Christian
martyrdom. However a recent story reported that a man in Oklahoma had
plotted to bomb nearly 50 churches. The attack was centered on the fact
that the accused man had problems with the Catholic Church.
Praise God that this plot to bomb multiple churches was thwarted and no one was injured.
Pray for this man. He allegedly has a history of mental illness and needs psychological attention.
Pray that this
event will open the eyes of Christians in America to realize that the
persecution of Christians is not just limited to overseas, but also
happens in America.

Pakistan Evangelical Pastor Shot By Militants
Pakistan has recently been the focus of the persecution of
Christians. A pastor was shot by two militants due to his Christian
activities. One suspect has been detained, while the other remains at
large. The pastor has previously had legal action taken against him by a
Muslim attempting to have the pastor arrested for insulting Islam.
Pray for this pastor to recover from his injuries so that he can continue to pursue God’s will for his life.
Pray that law enforcement in Pakistan will be able to apprehend the other suspect in the case.
Pray that
this incident will not discourage the other Christians in the community
to live for Christ. When an event like this occurs, many Christians
become scared and will not go out in public. Pray for courage to live
boldly in their faith.

Young Christian Girl Accused of Blasphemy Still in Pakistan, Awaits Trial
For almost two months, the case of Rimsha Masih was gathered the
attention of the world. Due to the seriousness of the case and threats
on her life, Rimsha and her family had reportedly been moved from
Pakistan to Norway. However, Norwegian authorities have said that they
do not have her. Rimsha is scheduled to appear in court on October 17.
Pray for Rimsha and her family—wherever they are—that they will remain safe and faithful.
Pray for those who are seeking to harm Rimsha and her family.
Pray for those who will be involved in Rimsha’s trial. That God would reveal to them a way in which Rimsha could go free.

The Christian Exodus From Egypt
Since January 2011, almost 100,000 Egyptian Christians have fled or
desire to immigrate to western countries. The reasoning behind this is
the fact that the persecution of Christians in Egypt has increased
dramatically since the installment of Islamic officials within the
government. Needless to say, the Christian influence in Egypt is
starting to evaporate.
Pray for the safety of Christians as persecution is Egypt seems to be increasing by the day.
Pray for those Christians who desire to leave Egypt due to safety concerns.
Pray for the
Egyptian government, that they will open their eyes to the persecution
of Christians and realize that some legal action must take place.

Iran Prayer Update: Pastor Serving Six Years in Prison
10/14/2012 Iran (Middle East Concern)
There are currently 20 Christians in Iranian prisons suffering for
their faith. One of the most notable is a pastor who is serving a
six-year prison sentence after he converted to Christianity from Islam.
Iran, much like the rest of the Middle East, is becoming a dangerous
place for Christians.
Full story
Pray for these 20 Christians and their families as they continue to suffer for the cause of Christ.
Pray for the
Iranian government, that God would open their eyes and reveal the damage
that they are causing to these prisoners and their families.
Pray that the
prisoners can testify to what Christ has done in their lives, so that
those who persecute them can be shown the light.
