Ayatollah Khomeini: 'The sword is the key to Paradise'

Whether you are a Christian or a believer in any other religion or no religion at all, this should concern you, and in fact does concern you.

The victimhood game is part of a larger strategy.

And so is the persecution of Christians, and the violence against Jews in Israel, and against unbelievers of various creeds and belief-systems worldwide.

They are both part of a larger war that the Ayatollah Khomeini memorably articulated:

Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled or incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world. . . .

But those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. . . .

Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war.

Those [who say this] are witless.

Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all!

Does this mean that Muslims should sit back until they are devoured by [the unbelievers]? Islam says: Kill them, put them to the sword and scatter [their armies]…. Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to Paradise, which can be opened only for the Holy Warriors!

There are hundreds of other [Qur'anic] psalms and Hadiths [sayings of the Prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all this mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.

Here is Ayatollah the 1st, speaking to Muslims about what Islam is really all about. We know that he scolded them for not seeking out Islam's more violent and antagonistic verses. But there is still the question of why he needed to remind them in the first place.

This highlights Islam's problem in a few ways,

One Muslims are just people, no matter what the Koran or Muhammad told them ~ somewhere down the line ~ after the violence of conquest has long subsided, and there were no conquest to ready for, they began to act like ~ people ~ normal people.

And I am going to wager that the Ayatollah was not the first in Islam's history to shake Muslims out of their normality ~ to the warring, marauding, intolerance that is on the increase today.

Which shows that there are present, the ingredients for not only building and expansion of the Islamic ideology or control ~ it also shows it has built into it the design for - instability.

People forget.

So somewhere in there we must also concede that Muslims are better than Islam.

That over time they tend to follow their better nature. As this has more gravity ~ than the warring Prophet's words for battles to the ends of the earth.

But also over time people attribute their better behaviour, to their Islamic belief. The Ayatollah says it best ~ he has called them 'fools' or misguided. As what they should be doing is making war ~ and supporting wars ~ to bring about the Muhammadan Paradise ~ because as Muslims, Islam should give them supremacy over all others.

It is the argument of the day ~ how can we associate the pretty normal Muslim you might have chatted to on the job ~ with type of Islam practised by the Taliban ~ people, often schooled in madrassas ~ it is said ~ were taught a hard-line Islam ~ but perhaps more accurately ~ learnt all about Islam. Where the average person who identifies themselves with Islam ~ would not know. And could live their life having never known. People can examine the same limited script about Muhammad for generations.

There are exceptions.

And that is to do with knowledge of the laws and violence used to keep them in line. Which means that in the back of every Muslim's mind ~ there has to be the fear that these laws or penalties could be used against them. For questioning Islam ~ for ex. So that they are actually safer ~ not knowing who Muhammad really was.

And without a doubt they are holding out on us on their knowledge of jihad or holy war. But like the glories of the Islamic days that once were ~ have for most been assigned to mythological status ~ few likely expected it to turn up again ~ today.

In reality ~ much of the free world, and probably for a long time in the the Islamic world ~ we are dealing with Muhammad's inner conflict ~ the sharp contradictions of the Islamic verse. Although he says no compulsion on one side ~ he picks up the sword and compels people to join his Islam by force. But unfortunately for Muslims today, at least those who want to expand upon his brief dalliance with peace ~ Muhammad's success and therefore the success of Islam were gained through the sword.
