12/2/2010 Guinea (ANS) Muslim President Ordered the Killing of a Pastor in West Africa-
Michel Loua, a missionary-pastor in Guinea of Jacksonville, Texas was executed on Sunday, November 14th in a prison in Guinea. Pastor Loua was educated in the United States and was a convert from Islam to Christianity. Loua and his family had returned to Guinea in June and was involved in some of the political activities leading up to the election which also involved clashes between Muslim and Christian groups. At least two African news reports stated that the President of Guinea sent soldiers to the prison to offer Michel Loua as a human sacrifice to enhance the leadership of Guinea's president because local Muslim beliefs dictate that it is necessary to kill an infidel (non-Muslim) to insure the leadership's success. Loua was reportedly tortured, shot through the heart, and his body mutilated. Full Story

Pray for the hearts of the government to be turned to the true Lord, to Jesus.

12/1/2010 Vietnam (CompassDirect) Two Evangelists in Vietnam Sentenced to Prison-
On November 15 two Vietnmese evangelists, Ksor Y Du and Kpa Y Co, were sentenced to 6 and 4 years in prison respectively after being held by police for almost 10 months without a trial. Both men are part of a house church planting organization called Vietnam Good News Mission (VGNM) that has about 360 house churches.

Up to the sentence the police visited Ksor's wife several times, telling her that if she renounced her Christian faith and the family also recanted her husband would be released and they would receive a new house and a monthly sack of rice. She refused. Full Story.

Pray for Ksor's wife for her witness and that the Lord would continue to guide and sustain her and their family.
12/1/2010 Nigeria (ICC) Muslim Militants Kill Three Christians, Wound One in Nigeria-
On November 25, 2010, Muslim radicals dressed in military uniforms attacked Christian villagers near the city of Jos, killing three and wounding one. The attackers invaded the village at 10 PM local time and local Nigerian security forces failed to intervene and stop the attack.

This is the latest in a series of attacks on Christian villagers near the city of Jos in Nigeria this year, which have also ended in woundings, murder and violence. Full Story.
Pray for the Christians around Jos and there families, that they would be protected from this violence.
Pray that the Nigerian government would move to protect its citizens from these attacks.
Pray that the gospel would spread throughout Nigeria, that many would be saved, that the hearts of the Muslim attackers would turn to Jesus.
11/30/2010 Egypt (AINA) Egyptian Christians Clash with State Security Forces over Church Construction-

Two Coptic Christians were killed, hundreds injured and 200 arrested after 5000 security forces loaded with tear gas, rubber bullets and live ammunition entered a Coptic Church under construction and targeted protesters. The Christians were protesting the government's slowness in constructing new Christian churches while Muslim mosque projects are often completed in 'one day.' Full Story

Pray for the unrest in violence in Egypt, that Christians would be protected and that the Egyptian government would protect its citizens.
Pray for the gospel to spread in Egypt, that many would be saved and emerging house churches would grow and thrive.
11/29/2010 Pakistan (ICC) Court Prevents Pakistan's President from Pardoning Asia Bibi-

The Lahore High Court who has handled Asia Bibi's appeal of the death sentence she received for'blasphemy' is preventing Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari from pardoning Asia of all charges. While the President has issued his pledge to pardon her and release her, the Lahore Court insists that the pardon cannot be granted because The Court itself has not answered her appeal.

Asia has been in prison since 2009 for reportedly 'blaspheming' the Muhammad and was sentenced to death last month under Pakistan's current blasphemy laws. Full Story.
Pray for Asia's complete release, protection, health and witness of Jesus Christ.
Pray for her family, for Christians in Pakistan, and for hearts to turn to Jesus.
Pray for a repeal of the blasphemy laws and for international pressure for human rights in Pakistan.
11/29/2010 China (ChinaAid) Rights Defense Lawyer Detained on Charge of Government Subversion-
Bai Dongping, new Christian and long time political rights activist, was detained and sentenced with "inciting subversion of state power". Dongping is a defense lawyer with the Petitioners' Rights Defense Lawyers Association. The Chinese government is 'cracking down' on the freedom of many lawyers, Christians and human rights advocates, including their travel and exposure to the West, after Liu Xiaobo, a Chinese dissident, was named to receive the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize. Pray for Bai that his faith would be strengthened in this trial and for his release.
Pray for the gospel to be spread and received in China and for the government to embrace human rights.
11/28/2010 Eritrea (BosNewsLife) Eritrea Refugees Detained in the Sinai Desert-
Eighty Eritrean refugees, some among them believed to be Christians, have been held hostage by people smugglers on the Egypt-Israel border for almost a month. The smugglers are demanding a payment of $8000 per refugee before they will release them. It is reported that "they are being threatened, restrained with chains around their ankles, and at one stage were denied to clean themselves for 20 days". Many Christian refugees are evading people smuggling as as well as persecution in their own Eritrea where officials have arrested and stored many Christians in metal containers, a torture often resulting in death. Pray for these and many other refugees for safe passage, health and comfort, to live freely in their faith.
Pray for Christians remaining in Eritrea who are subject to torture and violence, that they would be rescued.
Pray for intervention, for the gospel to spread and hearts to turn to Jesus.
