Celebrating Saint George's Day

Dear friend,
St. George’s Day is more popular than ever but we need to do more to hold back the PC brigade and make sure the English win the day.
Remember the bad old days when Labour councils across the country used to ban the flag of St. George in case it might ‘offend’ some Muslim fanatic?

Well, so many people now celebrate St. George’s Day that it looks like those days are gone for good.
However much they might like to turn back the clock, not even Red Ken Livingstone and his pet Muslim dragons can stop millions of us celebrating our patron saint’s special day.

This year there’ll be more St. George flags flying on April 23rd than ever before.
We want to make England’s special day even bigger and better.

That’s why Nick Griffin MEP is using his communications budget to fund a campaign to have St. George’s Day declared a national bank holiday in England.
“All groups in Britain today are allowed to celebrate their culture in the name of ‘diversity’ but for too long the British in general and the English in particular seemed to get forgotten.

"We’re putting that right.
“This campaign is to demand the establishment recognise that we the English have the right to celebrate our patron saint’s day.

"I’m proud to be English and I’m proud to celebrate St. George’s Day.

"If that offends anyone, Heathrow’s at the end of the Piccadilly line!”
Nick Griffin MEP has submitted a declaration to the European Parliament calling for Christian Saints days to be recognised across Europe as public holidays.
Nick also gives 10% of his MEP salary to good causes through his English Fair Fund.

Right now the money is there to help English communities make St. George’s Day even more special.
Maybe you and your friends are celebrating by raising money for a local charity or for injured soldiers?

Or organising a St. George’s Day street party, pensioners’ outing or a family fun day.
Whatever you’re doing, Nick would like to help, because helping each other is a big part of our community spirit and our English identity.
Don’t worry if you haven’t managed to organise your St. George’s celebrations this time around, you can make it even bigger and better next year.

Our campaign to make St. George’s Day a bank holiday is ongoing.

Let's get organised for 2013 – submit your applications for grants as soon as you can and prepare well in advance.
Happy St. George's Day!
