12/1/11 Pakistan (CDN) Muslims in Pakistan Beat, Shoot at Christians in Land Grab -

Since 1976, Nazir Masih, a Pakistani Christian, has been cultivating 12.5 acres of land in the Muzzafargarh District--building up the soil with rows of chickpea plants. Unfortunately, on November 25th, local Muslims attempted to “land grab” Masih’s acreage — a terrible practice that has seemed to increase over the years. “We were cultivating chickpeas when the Muslims arrived at our fields,” Nazir’s wife, Martha Bibi, said. “They asked us to leave everything and never return, because it was their land now,” she added. When Martha and the women working with her refused to leave, the Muslims began to batter them with clubs and punches. Full Story

Pray for the swift physical and mental healing of Martha Bibi and the other Christian women who were attacked on November 25, 2011.
Pray that the Pakistani government enacts laws to protect its Christian citizens.
11/28/11 Nepal (EurasiaReview) Powerful Bomb Discovered Outside Protestant Church -

On November 27, 2011, Arjun Magar, the janitor of Nepal’s Navajiwan Church, came upon a suspicious looking bag just outside the church’s front gate. Arjun immediately called the church elders who then called the police. To everyone’s surprise and amazement, sitting inside the bag was a bomb that experts said would have caused considerable damage had it gone off! Fortunately, police were able to cordon off the area and safely diffuse the bomb. Full Story

11/30/11 Indonesia (JakartaGlobe) Hardline Muslims in Indonesia Hold Another Rally Against Christian Church -

Despite rulings handed down by an Indonesian Supreme Court, hardline Muslims continue to blockade the GKI Yasmin Church. Fueled by Bogor Mayor Diani Budiarto’s decision to revoke the church’s permit, angry Muslims have continued to defy legal orders to unseal the embattled church. A video circulating on Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia’s web site, meanwhile, showed the group’s leaders telling the public that the church did not have a building permit, and that "Christianization" would soon follow if they let the church be built in the area. Full Story

Pray that the Indonesian Muslims decide to adhere to the Supreme Court’s order and allow worshippers to enter GKI Yasmin Church.
Pray that the Indonesian government works harder to enforce its Supreme Court rulings.
Pray that GKI Yasmin Church becomes a “beacon of light” for Christ in Indonesia.
12/1/11 Nigeria (StrategyPage) The Churches of Nigeria Are Burning -
The country of Nigeria, especially northern Nigeria, has become filled with political unrest and Christian persecution. In fact, there is one Islamic terror group that seems to be wreaking the most havoc on Nigerian Christians, one who seems to be dead-set on destroying the lives and “livelihood” of these faithful believers. The name of this radical Islamic group is Boko Haram. The most recent attack came on November 26, 2011, when Boko Haram invaded the town of Geidam — destroying the villagers’ churches and killing at least four believers. A smaller attack was made on another Christian town, Maiduguri, that same day. Full Story

Pray for the rebuilding of the lives and livelihood of Geidam and Maiduguri.
Pray for the families of the four believers who lost their lives to Boko Haram.

12/1/11 Indonesia (CSW) Papuan Christians in Indonesia Attacked as Part of Crackdown on Independence Movement -

On December 1, 2011, Papuan Christians were in the midst of a celebration marking 50 years of independence from the Dutch. Their celebration was cut short when several Papuan Christians were shot and arrested by Indonesian authorities during the flag-raising ceremony. Fortunately, the four victims are alive and undergoing treatment at a local hospital. This isn’t the first case of persecution against Indonesia’s Papuan Christians. On October 19, 2011, six Christians were killed while demonstrating in front of the Papuan People’s Congress. Full Story

12/2/11 India (UCANews) Court Drops Charges Against 338 Christian Youth -

Praise the Lord! On December 1, 2011, charges were dropped against 338 Indian Christians! For three long years these innocent Christians suffered at the hands of the Indian government. Charges were leveled at the Christians in 2008 for reacting against a wave of church attacks by militant Hindu groups. Although the falsely accused Christians are relieved, they still want the “real perpetrators” found and brought to justice. The Indian government has yet to bring the perpetrators to justice, but they have promised to restore the 83 churches that were attacked. Full Story

Pray that the perpetrators are found and brought to justice.
Pray that the Indian government restores the 83 churches as quickly as possible.
