Banned! PETA's New TV Ad

Watch PETA's BANNED TV ad - With Actor James Cromwell
video PETA has approached many of America's largest cable networks hoping to place its latest ad—a commercial featuring beloved actor and PETA honorary director James Cromwell that promotes all our vital efforts for animals.

But our attempts to buy airtime have been thwarted because Lifetime, CNN, Animal Planet, and other networks have rejected the ad. Some of the reasons for the rejections were surprising:

x "In order for PETA to air, it cannot show any form of advocacy of viewers changing their habits (i.e., treating animals better)."

x "The spots would need to have all footage showing the animals being abused in any way … removed. Any footage that just shows the animal(s) by themselves are generally ok."

x "We will not accept spots from PETA. The group is too controversial."
