NOS AMIS ANGLAIS

Britain First

Britain FirstFellow patriot,

National Coordinator Andy McBride has announced the appointment of a Britain First Coordinator in Spain, aimed at mobilising support amongst the considerable British expats community living there.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Clive Read as Coordinator for Spain (pictured right). Having lived with his wife in Javea, in central Spain, since 1985, Clive Read was an obvious ideal choice to be Britain First's coordinator for Spain. His experience, commitment and connections in Spain are shared by few others.

Clive introduced 'Anglo Javea Hour' on Radio Javea each day of the week soon after his arrival in Spain. He founded 'Javea Good Neighbours Club' (still meeting after 20 years) that raised the cash to provide the first two heart defibulator machines on Red Cross ambulances in Spain.

In 1989, Clive was one of the founders of 'Javea International Civic Society' - he was the first Secretary General of the society and editor of the first 140 issues of its forty page monthly Bulletin.

In 1992 he was - and still is - founder Pastor of Javea Evangelical Church (www.javeachurch.com) and was also appointed District Secretary for the northern 70% of Spain for the Royal British Legion, a volunteer and unpaid position he held for 10 years.

For fourteen years Clive and Ann, his wife, have been responsible for the Spanish-language edition of 'The Word for Today', a daily devotional sent to 11,000 Spanish readers throughout the world in booklet form each quarter.

Britain FirstClive became interested in Britain First when he read of our support for Christian values and traditions.

"Britain's heritage and culture, that many gave their lives to preserve, is being abandoned by lawmakers and politicians who value 'equality' above everything else. I am proud to be a Brit even though I have chosen to live in Spain. We don't lose our Britishness just because we have been able to relocate for our retirement years to a warmer climate," said Clive.

"As Coordinator for Britain First in Spain, my task will be to coordinate the efforts, time and skills of other like-minded Brits who want to contribute to the cause."

"I am alarmed at the prospect of Christian Britain - even if most Brits have little time for religion of any shape these days - being overtaken in numbers by those who have no interest in integration or adopting the British culture, language and values."

Clive's background in advertising, marketing, printing and publishing will hopefully enable him - and the Britain First team in the UK - to support and encourage other Brits in Spain to create local discussion and fundraising initiatives to help the struggle back in the motherland.
